I offer individual one-hour supervision and two-hour online group supervision for Counsellors, Psychotherapists & Social Workers. 

The Nature Counselling and Family Therapy

I firmly believe that people are the experts of their own life. My therapeutic style has developed over 25+ years and has become eclectic but is grounded in Person Centered Therapy (PCT), Narrative Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I incorporate a number of theories and techniques. This professional self-disclosure statement is advising you of my qualifications, memberships and style I most often use in my practice.

My Qualifications

Graduating from Flinders University I have a PhD. My study focused on the Mental Health and the role of peer support for a particular group of War Veterans. I also hold a Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Addictions; Family Therapy; Loss and Grief) which I obtained from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Flinders University and a Diploma of Counselling, Mental Health & Vocational Education Training, Development and Design (VET/TDD).

Memberships

I am a Clinical Member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and PACFA Approved Clinical Supervisor. I am also registered level 4 Professional Member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and an Accredited Supervisor for individuals and groups. I have been admitted to the prestigious ACA College of Supervisors.

Since 2006, I worked in the area of specialising in counselling by supporting people experiencing directly or indirectly disorder eating or eating disorders. In 2012, I co-founded The Eating Disorders Association of South Australia (EDASA). EDASA was specifically dedicated to assisting those in our community that are affected by eating disorders. I worked with and supported a vast number of individual clients and families.

Since 2012, I have focused more broadly on Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a particular interest and lived experience of Domestic Family & Sexual Violence. I am a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC). I completed my training with Dr. Ramani Durvasula – author of It’s Not You.
