Supervision for Counsellors, Psychotherapists & Social Workers

I have facilitated support groups for over 15 years. Group facilitation is a skill that is not to be underestimated. If coordinated correctly participants can benefit immensely. Groups provide an opportunity for sharing information, an environment of increased understanding and peer support. They allow professionals to discuss and share their experiences and emotions, and to develop strategies in a safe and supportive environment.

I offer group supervision for Counsellors, Psychotherapists & Social Workers. My group supervision is online and therefore exceptionally affordable. The sessions will run for two hours and will cover a range of issues/dilemmas you may face in your working role or practice. I believe it isn’t just having a qualification or the years you have been registered with a peak body that makes you a perfect supervisor, it’s having the practical experience with real clients and supervisees.

I hold a level 4 registration with the Australia Counselling Association (ACA) as a registered Supervisor. I have been admitted to the ACA’s prestigious College of Supervisors. As a member of a professional peak body, you will need to acquire a certain number of hours every year of professional supervision. We can discuss to see if my group suits your needs, before attending one of the groups you will be contacted to check suitability.

I also offer individual supervision also if you would prefer not to discuss your practice/work within a group. Please contact me for details as I can be flexible to assist to accommodate your needs.

Testimonials from support groups from past attendees.

‘Thank you for your warmth and encouragement.  I was unsure what to expect at first.  I feel extremely blessed that you have been so welcoming and supportive. I am grateful that there is a place where people can share with others who understand.  The groups have given me valuable information and practicable understanding of how I can support my myself more effectively. I have gained practical tools and strategies and basically got a lot off my chest’. Emma

‘Amazing group of people, who were open and shared their experiences. I really enjoyed it, the time fly’s by without you noticing. I appreciated the knowledge your passed on and believe that all your experience shows clearly. Thank you Loraine’. Karren

‘This was the first time I have attended a group with Loraine, I can say without doubt I gained the most from your session. I have experienced other groups and I would say it is obvious that other facilitators do not have your level of experience. Some just seem to want to drink tea and talk about themselves! I felt you listened to the concerns of the group and related the conversation on all occasions. So pleased I found you’. Yasmin

‘In a male dominated area I found it very reassuring that I was not the only male to attend the group. All the participants were really respectful to each other, but I think this was because you set the group norms. I learnt a lot about myself. Reflecting is really important and with a busy schedule I don’t nearly get the chance, here it was effortless. Great group definitely coming once a month’. Robert
