Professional Counsellor, Supervisor & Educator

Why choose me as your clinical supervisor? I am a Registered Clinical Member of PACFA (Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia) and a Level 4 registered professional member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

These peak body memberships will assure you that I am an experienced professional counsellor and Accredited Supervisor. I have been admitted to the prestigious College of Supervisors with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Member number: COS10328.

PACFA & ACA are Australia’s largest registration bodies for Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Clinical Supervisors. I maintain professional development each year and participate in my own professional supervision. This is a requirement to uphold my memberships. I am also registered with The Australian Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapist (ARCAP).

I have been a lecturer in counselling, mental illnesses & mental health at Flinders University & TAFE SA. My background in training and education assists supervisees of all levels but especially those who are early in their career. Supervision is a collaborative working alliance where you feel supported and challenged to grow as a practitioner through your professional journey in a safe learning environment. I will cover aspects of your practice such as education gaps, administration and self-care. I will evaluate periodically to keep burnout and/or compassion fatigue at bay.

Questions you could consider asking before selecting a supervisor:

What kind of experience am I looking for in a supervisor? How can they value add to my practice? Are they a good fit for me? Can I claim supervision hours with my professional association? Can I afford their service?

Answers I would give:

“I have a wide range of skills and experience in the counselling and education industry, spanning 20 years. I will through a contractual, professional relationship assist you to meet your learning needs and develop you as a counsellor to help you meet industry standards. Most professional counselling associations accept my supervised hours, but you will need to check to ensure this is currently acceptable with your peak body. My services are extremely affordable. I understand the barriers of working in this industry, and I am passionate about helping counsellors flourish.”

“Clinical supervision will help you to help your clients! My role is to create a safe learning environment whereby together we can identify your learning needs by self-reflection using a strengths-based approach. Sessions are confidential and based on professional codes of ethics.”
