I have facilitated support groups for over 20 years, and I know firsthand that group facilitation is a highly specialised skill. When coordinated effectively, group supervision can be incredibly powerful. It provides a space for practitioners to share experiences, deepen understanding, gain peer support, and explore strategies for working with clients in a safe and respectful environment.
I offer online group supervision for Counsellors, Psychotherapists, and Social Workers. Because sessions are online, they remain accessible and exceptionally affordable.
Each group runs for two hours and explores a wide range of issues and dilemmas that may arise in your practice or workplace. Effective supervision is not only about qualifications or years of membership with a peak body—it requires real-world experience with clients and supervisees. This practical expertise underpins my approach.
I am an Approved Supervisor with the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and have Approved Registration with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and am admitted to the ACA College of Supervisors, reflecting my commitment to professional standards and supervisory excellence. As part of your peak body membership, you are required to complete a set number of supervision hours each year. Before joining a group, I will arrange a brief conversation with you to ensure the group is the right fit for your needs and practice stage.
I also offer individual supervision also if you would prefer not to discuss your practice/work within a group. Please contact me for details as I can be flexible to assist to accommodate your needs.
Testimonials from support groups attendees.
“Thank you for your warmth and encouragement… I feel blessed that you have been so welcoming and supportive.
The groups have given me valuable information, practical understanding, and strategies to support myself more effectively. I gained practical tools and got a lot off my chest.” — Emma
“An amazing group of people who were open and shared their experiences. I appreciated the knowledge you passed on—your experience really shows. Thank you, Loraine.” — Karren
“This was my first time attending one of Loraine’s groups and I can say without doubt I gained the most from your session. Other facilitators do not have your level of experience. You listened to the concerns of the group and kept the discussion relevant. So pleased I found you.” — Yasmin
“In a male-dominated field I found it reassuring that I was not the only male in the group. Everyone was respectful, and it’s clear this was because you set the group norms. I learnt a lot about myself. With a busy schedule I rarely get the chance to reflect—here it was effortless. Great group. I’ll be coming each month.” — Robert
